IMS & SUM HOSPITAL PG STUDENTS WIN LAURELS AT OSASICON-2017

Bhubaneswar, Feb. 8: Post graduate students and interns from the Department of Surgery of the Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital have won five out of nine prizes in three events and and two separate medallions in OSASICON-2017,  the 32nd Annual Conference of Surgeons of India, Odisha State Chapter, which concluded at KIMS here recently.  Dr. Suman Saurav Rout won the first prize in SurgiQuiz and third place in scientific paper presentation while Dr. Kasturi Bharadwaj came first in poster competition and won the third prize in SurgiQuiz, Prof. Prakash Kumar Sahoo, Professor in the Post-Graduate Department of Surgery in IMS and SUM Hospital, said. Dr. Subhabrata Ganguly won the third prize in poster competition. Besides, Dr. Prasanjeet Sahu and Dr. Alquama Naz received gold medals for securing highest marks in surgery in final year MBBS examination, Dr. Sahoo said.
