India registered 34,973 new cases in last 24 hours. With this, the total tally of Covid-19 cases in the country touched 3,31,74,954.
India recorded 260 fatalities due to Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. With this, the Covid-19 death toll in the country reached 4,42,009.
The recovery of 37,681 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) to 3,23,42,299.
Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 97.49%.
The Active Caseload is presently 3,90,646. Active cases presently constitute 1.18% of the country’s total Positive Cases.
The testing capacity across the country continues to be expanded. The last 24 hours saw a total of 17,87,611 tests being conducted. India has so far conducted over 53.86 Cr (53,86,04,854) cumulative tests.
While testing capacity has been enhanced across the country, Weekly Positivity Rate at 2.31% remains less than 3% for the last 77 days now.
The Daily Positivity rate reported to be 1.96%. The daily Positivity rate has remained below 3% for last 11 days and below 5% for 95 consecutive days now.
