The second day of the second Test between India and New Zealand continues in Mumbai. India lost two more wickets today. Ejaz Patel gave big success to the Kiwi team by dismissing Wriddhiman Saha (27) and R Ashwin (0) in two consecutive balls.
IND’s score is currently 285 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 98 overs. Opener Mayank Agarwal is unbeaten on 146 and Axar Patel is unbeaten on 32.
But, it is good to see a good partnership for the 7th wicket. Mayank and Axar have already scored 61 runs.
Ejaz has so far taken 6 wickets in the innings with today’s two wickets off two consecutive balls. Ejaz also became the highest wicket-taker in the first innings of a Test in India by a Kiwi spinner. Before him, Jeetan Patel took 4 wickets in the first innings of Hyderabad Test in 2012. At the same time, Daniel Vettori took 4-4 wickets in the first innings of the Ahmedabad Test against India in 1999 and 2010.
