India Vs England: England at 84/0, 264 to Win
The 5th and final day of the 4th Test match between India Vs England being played at the Kennington Oval seems to be in favour of the England team. The English have scored 84 runs by now without losing a wicket. Pressure seems to be building hard on the Indian team. The host need 264 runs more to win the match and lead the series with 2-1.
On the earlier day, chasing for a target of 368 runs till the day end, England had made 77 runs without losing a wicket. England’s Haseeb Hameed and Rory Burns were at the stumps with 43 and 31 runs respectively.
Notably, India showed an exceptional innings the earlier day at the Oval. Looking at India’s batting on the fourth day, it seemed that this match was in favor of Virat and Co. India scored 466 runs in the second innings and set a target of 368 runs in front of the hosts. The Indian bowlers needed at least two wickets in the final game of the session, but the Hameed-Burns pair did not give India any chance. Today, on the fifth day, the game of the first session is going to be very important from India’s point of view.
At present, England has tightened its grip on the match and the team is moving forward on the path of victory. If Team India has to make a comeback in the match, then from the very first session, India will have to put pressure and take wickets.
The chances of the match being a draw are slim. With the whole day play left, England need just 291 runs. On the fifth day it will be cloudy in the beginning, but there is no chance of rain. England has full 10 wickets in hand, so the team will definitely go ahead to win.
