Mulayam Singh Yadav, a veteran Samajwadi leader and member of parliament, passed away on Monday after a protracted illness. Former Chief Minister and his son, Akhilesh Yadav, tweeted about his passing. Monday at 8:15 a.m., according to hospital sources, he breathed his last breath.
Mulayam Singh Yadav was 82 years old and had been on life support for one week. On August 22, he was admitted to the Medanta hospital in Gurugram.
According to sources, the 82-year-old Samajwadi Party patriarch was experiencing difficulty breathing and was under the care of an internal medicine specialist at the Medanta Hospital.
Sunday, Medanta Hospital issued a health bulletin stating that the veteran leader’s condition was extremely critical and that he was receiving life-sustaining medication.
