India’s COVID-19 tally crosses three million-mark

COVID-19: National Recovery Rate stands at 88.81 per cent

Bhubaneswar: August 23: India registered 69,239 new COVID-19 cases in a day and India’s total count crossed the three million-mark. It is 30,44,940 now.

As per Health Ministry’s data, 912 people died due to Coronavirus in last 24 hours and the total death toll in the Country increased to 56,706.

57,989 patients have recovered from the disease in a day and so far, 22,80,566 patients have been cured, as informed by Health Ministry. The recovery rate stands at 74.90 per cent now.

Of the total 30,44,941 cases, the active cases are 7,07,668 and it is 23.24 per cent of the total cases reported so far.

The fatality rate has reduced further to 1.86 per cent.

Maharashtra remained the worst-hit state with 6,71,942 corona cases, followed by Tamil Nadu with 3,73,410 cases, Andhra Pradesh with 3,45,216 cases, Karnataka with 2,71,942 cases, Uttar Pradesh with 1,82,453 cases, Delhi with 1,60,016 cases, West Bengal with 1,35,596 cases, Bihar with 1,19,529 cases and Telengana with 1,04,249 cases.
