Bhubaneswar, May 2: To boost the high-tech method of promoting entrepreneurship and achieve the mission of having 1,000 start-up by the year 2020, on Monday, the Odisha government came up with a new web portal for the startups. The portal was launched by Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik. It is said that the portal will be making business easy for the rising entrepreneurs and also create an environment for the startups in Odisha.
Patnaik at the launch ceremony pointed out that the portal will be a platform for the start-ups, incubators and investors where they would have to register for availing the benefits under the Odisha Startup Policy. The registration can be done at www.odishastartups.gov.in website following which all the bedding entrepreneurs will be well-informed about the startup policy and their application status. Information related to commercial lease agreements, consultancy agreements, lease agreements, employment and non-disclosure agreement through sample tools have also been made available in the portal.
As part of the Odisha Start-up Policy, financial help will also be provided to the entrepreneurs by the State. A sum of Rs 20K will be given per month for one year. Also, product development assistance of Rs 15 lakh and basic needed raw materials will also be given.
A 4-week training on entrepreneurship for the youth of Odisha has also been uploaded on the portal. This online training programme has been organized by UpGrad along with Invest India. Through this online training, all budding entrepreneurs can be well-informed about identification and assessment, basics of finance, law and business planning, fund raising through six different modules.
