Cuttack, June 7: In another major breakthrough operation by the Cuttack police, a team of Badambadi Police station busted an inter-state gang of dacoits and arrested 9 people involved in stealing of trucks in Cuttack and neighbouring districts.
Notably earlier, the Madhupatna police had arrested two member of this gang. Acting on the information given by the duo, Badambadi police yesterday nabbed the two masterminds Mohammed Illiash & Jagabandhu Bisoi along with six of their aides and another purchaser of vehicles.
The police tracing a stolen truck from a garage in Balasore had also arrested the garage owner along with other members of the racket. Several parts of trucks along with a luxury car was also seized during the raid. After being court forwarded the court had announced Judicial custody for all.
To be noted, the duo masterminds in the racket together have over 16 criminal cases pending against them at several police stations in the city, said sources.
