Bhubaneswar: October 18: Dr. Mona Lisa Bal, Chairperson, KiiT International School, Bhubaneswar has been conferred with a rare honour by the NRI Welfare Society (U.K. Chapter). She received the Mahatma Gandhi Leadership Award from the NRI Welfare Society on October 11, 2019 in the House of Commons (Parliament of U.K.) in London.
She earned the recognition for her exceptional contribution in the field of education. The recipients of this award are chosen after very careful scrutiny and Dr. Bal is among twenty five such awardees from across the globe. Notably, Mother Teresa and Shri Gaur Gopal Das have been recipients of this prestigious award. Dr. Bal’s inclusion in the hallowed list is a matter of immense pride and glory.
Dr. Bal expressed her gratitude to Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS for his sterling transformational leadership which has been the catalyst in her quest for education with a human touch. KiiT International School was the best barometer for her ideological and academic growth as an educator because the students and faculty reflected her commitment to this process.
