RCB won against PBKS. it became the third team to qualify for the playoffs after a six-run win over Punjab Kings on Sunday at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Punjab Kings by six runs in match 48 of the Indian Premier League.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Virat Kohli on Sunday said, “Feels amazing. After 2011, we haven’t done it with games to spare. Eight wins out of 12 games is a great campaign. We have two more opportunities to finish in the top two. Should give us motivation to play even more fearlessly,” said Kohli in the presentation ceremony.
Ranked third in the points table with 16 points from 12 matches, Bangalore’s next match in IPL 2021 is against Sunrisers Hyderabad on October 6 in Abu Dhabi.
PBKS openers KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal started well chasing 165-run target and scored 49 runs in the powerplay.
After PBKS skipper KL Rahul fell for 39 runs in the 11th over to Shahbaz Ahmed, it became to score up.
Yuzvendra Chahal turned the game on its head for RCB with two wickets in an over as PBKS lost their way, losing three quick wickets in chase of 165 runs. Harshal Patel then defended 19 runs off the last over.
