Jajpur, Sep 7: Today in a dreadful incident, a class-IX student named as Soumyajit Nath belonging to Madhuban High School under Kuakhia police station died while drowning in Kharasrota River near Mirzapur ghat during the Ganesha Idol Visarjan in Jajpur, Odisha.
It’s stated that Soumyajit had gone to the ghat along with other students for the Visarjan ceremony. Unfortunately, he got carried away by water current and got drowned. Sadness and shock both at the same time resided in the area when his body was recovered from the river.
