“It’s your turn to give back,” exhorts Executive In-charge to newly promoted GMs

Rourkela, Feb 20: Executive In-Charge Rourkela Steel Plant MK Das Friday exhorted the newly appointed General Managers to give back to the company they have earned so far.

“The company has recognised your contribution and now it is your turn to give back to the company, when it is going through tough times,” said while handing over the promotion orders to the nine newly promoted General Managers of RSP at the CEO’s.

ED (Works) Ashwini Kumar, Director In-charge (M&HS) AK Singh, ED (P&A) PK Pradhan, ED (Projects) S Das,  GM(F&A)  S Pradhan and several other GMs and senior officers were also present on both the occasions.

The newly promoted GMs are Aurobindo Acharya, (General Manager Sintering Plant), Gautam Banerjee (GM SMS-II, Pradeep Kumar Mehrotra (GM HSM), Suresh Chandra Pattanaik (GM Safety, FS & Env Engg), Sushant Kumar Nath, GM (Utility), Ashit Sengupta, (GM Quality), NK Samantray, (GM Marketing), K Venkata Ramana ( GM Projects) and Dilip Kumar Mohapatra (GM Projects).

“Elevation to one of the most coveted and difficult positions also call for meeting the high levels of expectation of the management,” said Das in his address

Ashwini Kumar said that General Managers constitute only two per cent of SAIL which places high onus on them.

He urged them to bring about a change in the culture of the organisation by focussing on team work, prompt decision making and achieving a synergy  with other departments.

PK Pradhan urged them to work towards optimizing labour productivity keeping in pace with the inclusion of latest technology while Subhendra Das exhorted them to put in their  best efforts to improve the performance of the Plant.
