Puri, June 3: The Jagmohan repair work of at Puri Jagannath temple has almost come to an end. In the process of restoration, capitol stones have been fixed including columns and vertical stones. About 16 steel frames have been fortified to 4 columns, while 16 box frames have also been put under the stone beams.
In a total, 95 tonnes of steel has yet been used in the repair work of the temple.
According to sources, the main renovation work has been completed. While hardly some minor repairs are left out, which will be over before the Snana Jatra.
On the other hand, the repair work of the temple’s ceiling will start during the rath jatra period, said sources.
