Bhubaneswar: August 17: On Monday, Kabul the city of six million people, looks deserted..as if no life with it…very slow…male dominated city without police or traffic controls….the shops & markets are seen closed.
Just hours ago, it was crowed…with news of Taliban entering the city, suddenly city became over crowed….very traffic of cars & vehicles on the roads & streets… that is because people rush to Banks, ATM Counters, visa processing offices and travel agencies, to plan their future.
But, after hours or so, the city come to standstill, reports from media said.
Kabul’s Current situation
Streets leading to the airport were jammed with no traffic police to direct people. Passengers are seen rushing to airport to move on to different places to take shelter.
After Taliban fighters entered the Afghan Capital, around 40 passenger flights took off from Kabul on Sunday evening to Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, Media source said.
18 flights took off from Kabul to Tajikistan and 28 flights to Uzbekistan’s southernmost city of Termez.
Most of the passengers were Afghan nationals.
Afghanistan’s ambassador to Tajikistan welcomed the planes arriving from the Capital.
