New Delhi, Dec 15: The Government has strongly emphasised that imparting quality education to students is a must exercise and there should be more and more innovative ways to build up a new generation for a culturally rich nation like India. Addressing the foundation day celebrations of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan here today, Union Human Resource Development Minister, Shri Prakash Javadekar lauded the role of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan in imparting quality education and said KVS is now a brand in the field of Quality Education. The Minister announced the convening of a National Conference in March next year to devise ways to implement innovative practices. Experts and exponents of education will be invited to the National Conference to share their experiences and ideas for improving the quality of education.
Shri Javdekar congratulated the award winning teachers and non-teaching staff of the Sangathan for their excellent performance and called upon them to usher in the onerous task of future building of students who come to school for fulfilling a long cherished dream of getting proper quality education in a more concrete and positive manner. The Minister referred to one of his experiences of a conference where 1000 teachers were invited and were asked to suggest possible reforms in education through zero investment. He said that more than 500 ideas and proposals were generated. He asked the authorities to consider positively these innovative ideas given by teachers for any possible and viable improvement in the field of education.
The Minister said that the dream of every citizen, even a poor person, is that his offspring is able to get quality education. There are dreams and aspirations in the eyes of every child who comes to school and fulfilling them should only be the motive. He said for this each and every section of the society need to help associate in building the future of nation in an affirmative way and inculcation of discipline is a part of it. He said to learn this students also line up in Parliament by viewing the proceedings of both the Houses. The Minister said that respecting the mandate is also a part of it and the government elected for its tenure of five years should be allowed to function.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister of State in HRD Ministry, Shri Upendra Kushwaha highlighted the need to ensure that Quality Education is imparted to every section of society to enable it to give its best. He added that only then can excellence be attained. “The role of teachers in this regard is to produce personality like Vivekanand and Mahatma Gandhi, which could be the only criteria of education”, Shri Kushwaha said.
On this occasion, 104 teachers and non-teaching staff from all over the country were awarded and felicitated.
