Balasore, Nov 9: On charges of accumulating assets disproportionate to his know sources of income, simultaneous raids were conducted by Vigilance sleuths on Wednesday at five places including the houses of Khirachora RI accumulating assets.
As per reports, Agasti Patnaik’s two houses in Balasore and his in-laws houses were raided by the anti-corruption officials simultaneously.
Currently, movable and immovable assets to the tune of about Rs 1.5 crore in the name of Patnaik have been detected by the Vigilance officials, informed Sunil Kumar Senapati, Vigilance SP.
Senapati added that Patnaik’s house at Padhuanpada area in Balasore district has been estimated to be of Rs 90 lakh.
The Vigilance team has also seized some incriminating documents and bank passbooks in the name of Patnaik.
