Bhubaneswar: August 7: New Positive cases in Odisha declined to 1096 today. Also, Daily Positivity Rate comes down to 1.64 percent.
Khurda district reported 389 new Covid Positive cases and District’s total cases since the beginning of the pandemic increased to 1,52,565 whereas Odisha’s total went up to 9,85,827. No other district has crossed one lakh cases even.
It is the most-affected district of the State. So out of total 1,52,565 Positive Cases, 1,47,274 patients have recovered from the disease till yesterday. Odisha’s total recoveries reached 9,66,928.
12,480 active cases are there in State as on today and of this, 4,016 are from Khurda District only.
Khurda District also recorded highest deaths due to Covid-19 i.e. 1265 whereas Odisha registered 6366 deaths so far with 64 deaths reported today by Health Department.
Even after phases of Lockdown and Shutdown, Khurda is witnessing around 400 cases daily.
