Khurda District in highest +Ve Cases group
Odisha reported 521 new Covid +Ve cases during last 14 hours and out of that, 249 cases are from Khurda District only, which is over 47% of the daily cases reported in State. Government categorized Khurdha district as Red Zone as cases are growing here.
64,377 tests have been conducted during 24 hours and out of that, 521 samples came positive. The daily positivity rate remains at 0.81 percent.
Among other districts, Cuttack reported 60 new cases, followed by Mayurbhanj 21 cases, Balasore 17 cases, Jagatsinghpur 15 cases, Kendrapara 14 cases and Puri 13 cases. Rest other district’s new cases in last 24 hours remain under ten.
Active caseload in the state has been growing again and today, it is 5314.
Of 521 new cases, 65 cases are under 18 years of age.
Total cases in Odisha increased to 10,33,809 (since the beginning of the pandemic) and out of that, 10,20,168 people have already recovered from the disease including 404 new recoveries reported yesterday.
