Bhubaneswar: May 13: A Memorandum of Understanding was (MoU) was signed between Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) and Yunus Social Business Centre (YSBC) on Saturday. Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS signed the MoU on behalf of KISS while Prof. Muhammad Yunus, founder, YSBC signed the MoU on behalf of Yunus Social Business Center. According to the MoU a centre for social business will be set up in KISS. This centre will create entrepreneurs among under privilege community and address social challenges through entrepreneurship. Yunus Social Business Centre, KISS will organize student exchange and learning visit, so students can learn firsthand technique and programme which have been set up to assist the economic development of the poor in developing countries. Among others Mr. Arun Mishra, Vice President, Tata Steel; Dr. Suraj Kumar, Head, Niti Foundation India; Ms. Lamiya Morshed, Executive Director, Yunus Centre; Senior Bank officials; industrialists and senior officials of KIIT & KISS were also present.
