Patnagarh, May 22: Today the BJP activists headed by MLA KV Singhdeo staged dharna ahead of the local electricity office here in Bolangir thus protesting the frequent power cuts here. They alleged that due to the frequent power cut on top of the district having 45 degree C, normal life has been affected. Deo further added that no official from the department has come to address the issue even though a prior notice had been given to them regarding the agitation. He also said that although the Energy minister has been saying repeatedly that there will be no power cuts in Bolangir but power cut has been a regular affair here in addition to being the hottest place in Odisha.
