Rayagada, Nov 3: Today at Hatamunigada here, in a landmine explosion a sniffer dog sustained injuries. It’s stated that the incident happened when the Muniguda police along with the dog squad were conducting a search operation in the area. Landmine and Maoist posters have been seized by the police during the search operation.
Notably, Maoists have called for a bandh today in Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Telengana and Maharashtra protesting against the joint operations of the Odisha and Andhra Pradesh Police in the cut-off areas of Malkangiri district on October 24 in which 30 naxals were killed.
