Soon after Mishra stood up to deliver his speech in support of the LCI’s recommendations, lawyers broke out their anger on him and moved up to the stage in a rage.

As per an earlier notification and a recommendation by the LCI, any misconduct by lawyers or even if they are seen resorting to strikes or protest, strict action would be taken against them.

Advocates across the country are against the amendment, as they say that it would take away the Independence and autonomy of the Indian Bar completely.

Nearly 350 delegates from across the country had attended the convention that was organised by the Odisha State Bar Council, for going against the LCI’s amendment.
