Light rainfall in few places of Odisha continues; MeT office

Bhubaneswar, Mar 20: Bhubaneswar, Mar 18: A hail storm accompanied with rain & wind speed up to 05 KTS has occurred over M.O Jharsuguda at 1845 hrs. IST on 17.03.2017 and lasted for 05 minutes. Rainfall has occurred at one or two places over Odisha. Chief amount of rainfall recorded in cms are Kashinagar (dist Gajapati) 3, R.udaigiri (dist Gajapati) 1, Sundargarh (dist Sundargarh) 1.Maximum temperatures observed no large change and were normal over Odisha. Minimum temperatures markedly rose over North Interior Odisha, appreciably rose over North Coastal Odisha and observed no large change over South Odisha. They were above normal over North Coastal Odisha and normal over rest of Odisha. They were below normal over North Coastal Odisha and normal over rest Odisha. Minimum temperatures markedly fell over North Coastal Odisha and observed no large change over rest Odisha. They were below normal over North Odisha and normal over South Odisha. 

Having a clear sky with rains likely to occur. Odisha’s capital city is likely to experience in the next 24 hours a maximum and minimum temperature of 34 degree Celsius and 23 degree Celsius respectively on Monday.
The relative humidity will be 88 percent at its maximum and 48 percent at its minimum, as said by the MeT. On Tuesday, rains along with thunder squall and hail storms to occur in Odisha with a wind speed likely to reach 50-60 Kmph. On Wednesday and Thursday, rains to occur in Coasal Odisha with a wind speed to reach 50-60 Kmph accompanied with hail storms and thunder squall and weather to be dry over Interior Odisha. On Friday and Saturday, weather to be dry over Odisha. As per the weather forecasters, there is no significant change as of now.
For the farmers, rains along with thunder squall and hail storms to occur in Odisha with a wind speed likely to reach 50-60 Kmph.
The highest maximum temperature of 38.50C was recorded at Bolangir and the lowest minimum temperature of 13.00C was recorded at Sundergarh in the plains of Odisha.
