Bhubaneswar, Dec 20: A special police squad, after one month of intensive search has arrested the main accused in the sensational doctor couple murder case.
Kishore Behera, was arrested from an eatery in Gopalpur near Berhampur city of Ganjam district by a special squad from Bhubaneswar Commissionerate of Police, according to police sources.
Three more persons, two men and a woman have also been detained and are being interrogated for further information, according to police sources.
Kishore Behera, a native of Ganjam district, is being interrogated by the special police team.
Dr Prafulla Chandra Mishra and his wife, Dr Sushama Mishra were found murdered in their residence at VIM 608 in Sailashree Vihar under Chandrasekharpur police station limits.
The former domestic help, her husband and two other accomplices were suspected to have committed the crime with an intention of robbery, a source said on conditions of anonymity.
Preliminary estimate reveals that the robbers decamped with around Rs 30, 000 cash, 50 gm gold and a mobile phone, among other things.
