Make in Odisha Conclave: Odisha Govt to make an investment of Rs 2000 cr in IT sector every year from 2017

Bhubaneswar, Nov 28: The Odisha government has decided to invest about Rs 2000 crore in IT sector every year from next year. Informing this to the media after attending the interactive session on the first day of the three-day conclave of the National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) in the city here on Saturday,

State IT secretary Pradeep Jena said the state government will seek the technical know-how from well-known IT companies in the country and abroad. He said it was decided in the conclave that the state government will make efforts for more capital investment in the state’s IT sector and make Bhubaneswar as one of the leading IT hubs in the country. Jena further said that the state government will also give priority to the suggestions of the established IT companies in the formulation of new IT policy and guidelines.

Around 35 chief executive officers (CEOs) of leading IT companies in the country are attending the conclave which will have different sessions at Gopalpur, Bhubaneswar and Puri. For the first time, the state has got the opportunity to organise such a prestigious conference of CEOs of top IT companies. The event will show case the IT potentials of the state and opportunities available for investment in the sector.
