Bolangir Police took Gobinda Sahu to the spot at the Mahaling stadium where he murdered and buried Mamita, to recreate the incident of Mamita Murder Case. This was done in the wee hours today and Prime Accused Sahu demonstrated there on how he killed Mamita.
Cops are yet to recover the mobile phone of the victim. As said by Police, Sahu has torched most of the evidence, including Mamita’s mobile phone.
A bag containing 3 pairs of women’s garments, a mobile phone and charger and few medicines kept under a bed was recovered from house of Radheshyam alias Radhe who was also arrested in connection with the murder case yesterday.
Sources said, Radhe’s wife Asha Chandi has handed over a bag to the Kegaon Police
Notably, Mamita Meher was working as the teacher at the Sunshine English Medium School, Mahaling in Kalahandi district. She went missing on October 8. Police had further detained the President of Managing Committee of the School ‘Govinda Sahu’ as alleged by the family members of Mamita.
But, on October 17, Govinda Sahu fled away from Police Custody. Further, Sahu was nabbed from a sugarcane field.
On 19th October, Mamita’s body was exhumed from a field near School.
Givinda confessed that, he has killed Mamita inside his car. Her body was chopped into pieces and burnt before being buried in the ground.
