Bhubaneswar, Aug 22: A gunshot incident of a son-in-law with his father-in-law created a panic situation in Khurda town on Sunday afternoon.
According to reports, Kantha Jena had gone to an advocate’s house at Tala Sahi area of the town that afternoon to discuss about a case of dowry torture of his daughter by his son-in-law. While he was discussing the matter with the advocate, Jena’s son-in-law suddenly entered into the advocate’s chamber and fired at Jena.
After hearing the sound of the gunshot, the locals rushed to the spot and nabbed the son-in-law. Later, police had arrested him.
In the incident, Jena was seriously injured as the bullet had hit his head and he was rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital in a critical condition.
