Kalahandi, Aug 27: The incident of a man named Dana Majhi carrying his wife’s corpse for 10 kms on Wednesday, has created an outrage among the people. Following which, Congress six-member fact finding team consisting of six reached the spot to investigate about the matter on Saturday.
To protest against the incident, the team had also participated in a road blockade at Ghodaghata. However, after the detainment of around 15 persons by the police, they withdrew the road blockade protest.
Later, the Opposition party team headed by senior leader Pradip Majhi visited Dana Majhi’s village to discuss the matter with him.
Also, the CDMO office was gheraoed by the BJP today, who held a silent protest against the incident by covering their faces with black badges.
