Some people in the groom’s group are said to have attacked people in the bride’s group with knives, injuring two young people on the bride’s side.
On Friday, the marriage ceremony was taking place at Muribahal of Tureikela in Bolangir. Sources said that the groom’s party was on its way to the bride’s home in Muribahal village. DJ music was making the people on the groom’s side dance.
Someone from the bride’s family joined them on the way and started dancing. The groom’s team didn’t agree with this, which led to an argument, and then some of the groom’s team members attacked the people on the bride’s side physically.
Also, it got violent, and two people from the bride’s side were stabbed by the groom’s side.
People who were hurt were taken right away to a hospital in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
The bride’s family went to the Tureikela police station to file a complaint. Based on the report, the police have taken four people from the side of the groom into custody.
