Another massive explosion hit Kabul on Sunday. As reported, it has happened near Kabul airport as the evacuation mission to fly out foreign citizens nears its end.

As reported by BBC, some images posted on social media show black clouds of smoke rising into the air above buildings.

BBC further reported that, a health ministry official has told the BBC the recent blast was caused by a rocket that struck a house near to the airport. The airport was not hit directly, the source said.

It is not yet known if there are any casualties.

On Thursday, twin suicide bombings rocked Afghanistan’s Hamid Karzai International Airport killing hundreds of civilians.

US President Joe Biden on Sunday warned of a bomb blast in Afghanistan.
