Bhubaneswar: June 05: An unidentified miscreant murdered an youth at Salia Sahi in Odisha capital on Monday evening.
The deceased was identified as Ashwini Majhi, a resident of Tarini Nagar and hailing from Phulbani. It is said by the locals, Aswini was screaming for help as the miscreant was chasing him on road and finally fired five rounds of bullets at Aswini. The victim sustained bullet injuries on his chest and died on spot. After getting information from the locals, Nayapalli Police reached the spot with forensic team.
Neighbours said, Aswini had an exchange of heated words with two youths, who came to him by a bike on Monday and threatened him with blank firing. Further, Aswini had informed the Nayapalli Police.
Police has started investigating on the incident and the exact reason behind the crime is yet to be ascertained.
