Bargarh, Jan 19: A youth hailing from Bihar was robbed off and shot late last night at Bargarh town, by some unknown miscreants.
Two youths who were on their way to Puri from Bargarh on a motorcycle were allegedly stopped and robbed by some unknown miscreants who asked them to give away everything they have.
But when the youths didn’t listen to them, the miscreants allegedly fired bullets at them and attempted to forcefully rob them. One of the Victim Identified as Rahul Singh, hailing from Chapra in Bihar jumped of the vehicle to a near by bush, while a bullet hit his brother, said sources.
On being informed, the Bargarh police reached the spot and took Rahul’s brother to a near by hospital. Later he was shifted to VIMSAR at Burla as his condition deteriorated.
The incident took place at Haladiapali Chhak at Bargarh. The miscreants fled away after robbing a cash amount of Rs 18,000, a mobile phone and a motorbike from the youth.
Police have started the investigation, while they have set up check post at various places to nab the evil.
