Bhubaneswar, April 7: The sister-in-law of Barabati-Cuttack BJD MLA Debashish Samantaray today approached the State Commission for Women (SCW) in connection with the metal harassment complaint lodged by her against the legislator two days ago.
Sikha Samantray was accompanied by her son, daughter and sister during her visit to SCW to discuss her case.
She said she approached the Commission to get her dues and share of her ailing husband.
Meanwhile, the BJD MLA has also filed a station diary at the Badambadi Police station alleging that Sikha is trying to defame him because he did not to give some amount which she demanded.
In her complaint lodged two days back, Sikha had alleged that she is being tortured mentally by Samantaray. “He is not giving the required money needed for the treatment of my husband,” she had said.
