Naveen condoles Siachen braveheart’s death

Bhubaneswar, Feb 12: The death of the lone survivor among 10 soldiers who fell victim to a devastating avalanche at Siachen glacier was condoled by Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday.

Patnaik expressed his grief over the demise of the army jawan Lance Naik Hanmanthappa Koppad who was admitted to Army Research and Referral Hospital in New Delhi in a critical condition.

“Hanmanthappa was a brave soldier. His demise has saddened the nation. The country would be ever proud for his service and his sacrifice would be an inspiration. May his soul rest in peace,” Patnaik said in his messge.

“Deeply saddened by the passing away of braveheart #Hanumanthappa. May his soul find eternal peace. My deepest prayers for his family,” Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik tweeted today.
