Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday released financial assistance to over 37.12 lakh small and marginal farmers across the State under KALIA Scheme on the occasion of auspicious ‘Nuakhai’.
Total Rs 742.58 was released by Chief Minister under the KALIA Scheme.
An assistance of Rs.2,000 has been credited into the bank accounts of the beneficiary farmers in the State.
Naveen Patnaik said, several parts of the State are now experiencing rainfall. So, hopefully, there may be an overall change in the drought-like situation in the State.
He also expressed happiness for disbursing KALIA assistance among the farmers on the day when the State is celebrating ‘Nuakhai’. He wished the farmers on the auspicious day.
The government has been closely observing the situation and in touch with Field Officers of the Agriculture department.
He advised farmers to work under the guidance of the department.
