Bhubaneswar: June 10: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik unveiled a statue of former Chief Minister of Odisha Nandini Satpathy near Raj Bhavan, Bhubaneswar on the occasion of her 85th birth anniversary. Inaugurating the life –size statue here on Thursday, Naveen described Nandini Satpathy as great administrator witnessed by the state. Among others, Culture and Tourism Minister Ashok Chandra Panda, MP Prasanna Patsani, Lok Sabha MP and son of Nandini Satpathy, local MLAs and BMC Mayor Anant Jena were present on the occasion. The statue of Odisha’s only woman Chief Minister is being crafted by eminent artist BSV of Visakhapatnam and is having a height of 10 feet. It is seen, at several places of the state, meetings/functions were organised to commemorate the day as Nandini Diwas.
