Nayagarh ACF Prasant Kumar Mandhata convicted in DA case

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance has added yet another conviction success story to its note today as a former Assistant Conservator of Forests (ACF) of Nayagarh was convicted in disproportionate assets (DA) case.

As informed by the Vigilance officials, former Nayagarh Forest Division (Retired) ACF Prasant Kumar Mandhata was convicted by the Additional Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of three years and to pay fine of Rs 20,000.

It is to be noted here that Mandhata was charge sheeted by Odisha Vigilance in a case U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(e) of PC Act, 1988 for possessing disproportionate assets (DA).

Odisha Vigilance will now move the competent authority for stoppage of pension of Prasant Kumar Mandhata following his conviction.
