NEET 2017 Held on May 7 in Odisha’s 3 Cities; Result on Jun 8; 30,000 Appeared

Bhubaneswar, May 8: Yesterday the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) exam was conducted in three cities of Odisha, Bhubaneswar, Berhampur and Rourkela by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for admissions to medical and dental courses across the country. Around 30,000 students have appeared for the examination across the state. The students were happy and hope for a good output. The exams had begun at 10 am under strict vigil and continued till 1 pm.

Earlier, the CBSE had introduced new rules for NEET 2017 such as mandatory Aadhaar card, age limit upto 25 for unreserved and 30 for reserved categories, a maximum of three chances to clear the exam. For the first timers, Odisha students had got an opportunity to appear for the test in Odia language.

NEET result is scheduled to be declared on Jun 8, 2017.
