New Delhi, Nov 7: India’s Junior Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Rajiv Pratap Rudy has advised the National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD) to focus on prospective entrepreneurs.
NIESBUD should take lead in facilitating the trained persons becoming entrepreneurs through a whole range of hand-holding services with an objective to ensure that more and more trained persons, at the bottom of the pyramid, become job providers instead of job seekers, the Minister said.
Rudy’s observations came during his visit to the campus of the Institute in NOIDA on Friday to review the activities of the Institute.
He advised it to concentrate upon high end and innovation based entrepreneurship in due course of time.
Exhorting the Institute to transform itself into a premier organization for entrepreneurship development in the country and International level as well, Sri Rudy asked the management to also play a leading role in introduction of Entrepreneurship as an integral part of different training programmes being organised by different Sector Skill Councils under the auspices of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) under the Ministry.
He said, The Institute should also assist developing Afro-Asian countries in spreading entrepreneurship/skill culture among their respective target groups.
The National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD) is an apex Institute engaged in promotion of entrepreneurship and development of micro and small enterprises through different interventions of training, research, incubation, consultancy etc.
