Puri, Sept 17: Under Section 80 of CrPC, a petition has been filed by police in the Sub-divisional Judicial magistrate (SDJM) court at Puri to attach properties of five absconding servitors in connection with manhandling during Niladri Bije rituals, who failed to surrender before the police before the set deadline.
As per the sources, some hotels and lodges are registered in the names of these five servitors.
The PKDA, sub-collector, Tehsildar and Bank have been asked to furnish details of the movable and immovable properties registered in the names of the concerned 5 servitors through a letter sent by the SP.
