NO guilty in KIIT incident to be spared: Odisha Law Minister

Bhubaneswar: No one found guilty in the recent incidents in KIIT& KISS University will be spared, Odisha’s Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan said on Thursday. “The high-level committee formed by the government has gone to KIIT and conducting an investigation. The police are also continuing their investigation. Whether it is the KIT authorities or anyone found responsible, will be spared,” he said.

Everyone involved will be brought under the law and appropriate punishment will be meted out, he asserted. Harichandan said the Chief Minister has also clarified this and has also assured the Nepali students that no such incident will recur. “The government will also be vigilant for this and take the responsibility for the safety of the students. The government will be vigilant so that such an incident does not happen in any educational institution,” the Odisha Law Minister added.
He said the law will take its course and added that the suicide of the girl student and the subsequent assault on the students are also being probed.
