Bhubaneswar, Aug 16: Rainfall has occurred at most places with heavy to very heavy rainfall at one or two places over North Odisha and at many places with heavy rainfall at one or two places over South Odisha, Odisha’s capital city is likely to experience in the next 24 hours rainfall of 10.9mm along with thundershowers thus having a maximum and minimum temperature of 29 degree Celsius and 25 degree Celsius respectively on Wednesday having a cloudy atmosphere all around.
The relative humidity will be 100 percent at its maximum and 87 percent at its minimum, as said by the MeT Sub-Division.
Extremely heavy showers and thunder storms will be on, in few parts of Odisha by Wednesday. During Wednesday, thunderstorms, lightning with showers will hover maximum around north Odisha with a few in South Odisha. There will be an increase in the sea wave height of 3-4m. On Thursday, rainfall and thundershowers will be occurring extremely in North of the state with an increase in sea wave height to 3-4m. On Friday, rainfall will be at its peak in North Odisha with a few in South Odisha. On Saturday and Sunday, there will be a change in the climatic zone with Interior Odisha witnessing very heavy rainfall whereas interiors parts of the state will experience moderate monsoon climate. On the basis of weather report submitted by the MeT officials, there will be an increase in rainfall in North Odisha from Saturday but then from Sunday showers will lessen.
The highest maximum temperature of 34.6 degree C was recorded at Puri and the lowest minimum temperature of 21 degree C was recorded at Sundergarh in the plains of Odisha.
