The result of the Nuapada by-election will be announced tomorrow, Friday. All preparations for the counting process are complete, and it will be held at Nuapada National College with three layers of security. Counting will take place in 26 rounds, utilising 14 tables to cover 358 polling booths.
According to reports, ballot paper counting is scheduled to start at 8 am, and EVM vote counting will begin 30 minutes after that. Counting staff have received proper training, and security has been tightened to make sure the process is smooth and transparent.
The Nuapada by-election saw a voter turnout of over 83 per cent, which is among the highest in the region. Political parties have welcomed the strong participation. Congress, Biju Janata Dal, and the Bharatiya Janata Party have all claimed they will win the election.
