Cuttack: May 10: Nursing Students of SCB Medical College and Hospital raised voice against the Principal, alleging that he has ill-treated a student as well as made casteist remark. Today, they have staged a cease work agitation in the campus. The matter came public on Saturday after a nursing student alleged that the Principal misbehaved with her and made casteist remark. The students staged a rally from their hostel to the Superintendent’s office to lodge their protest. Students said, they had complained to the Superintendent earlier on Monday and had approached him this morning also, but Superintendent asked students to forget it saying that it is a small issue. Students had submitted a written complain to the Superintendent demanding transfer of the Principal. If Nursing students continue their protest of cease work, the health services may be affected at SCB Medical College and Hospital.
