Bhubaneswar, Jan 10: On Monday Odisha CM, Naveen Patnaik wished luck to the players of Kalinga Lancers team for the Hockey India League (HIL) which is begin from Jan 21. The team met the CM at the State Secretariat here today. Chief Secretary, AP Padhi also wished the players. A road show was also organised from the State Secretariat on this occasion. Dipsan Tirkey, a Kalinga Lancers player expressed their excitement and hardwork for the tornmanent and also stated that they all are expecting for a gold medal this season.
Notably, Kalinga Lancers will play against Delhi Waveriders on the second day of HIL on Jan 22.
