According to reports, the Chief Minister undertook an aerial survey of  Luna River, the islet of the Chitrotpala River, and the islet of Mahanadi’s tributary, the Paika River, in the Kendrapara district, the Kujanga and Naugan area of the Jagatsinghpur district, and the low-lying Gop, Astaranga, Nimapada, Delang, Pipili, and Kanasa area of the Puri district and assessed the flood situation.

Odisha CM has expressed concern over the large areas inundated by the flood and many agricultural lands and houses damaged.

The Chief Minister has ordered to speed up the provision of relief and cooked food, health care, drinking water supply, and also provide necessary fodder and veterinary treatment to the affected cattle.

Following the aerial tour, the CM has announced relief for the flood-affected villages of Khordha, Puri, Cuttack, Kendrapara, and Jagatsinghpur districts within 15 days.

Similarly, relief will be given for seven days to the people of flooded villages in the Sambalpur, Bargarh, Sonpur, Boudh, and Angul districts.

Chief Minister has asked that the administration assess the damage within seven days of the water release and provide relief for house and crop damage within 15 days.
