Around 300km road with an eight-lane economic corridor will be constructed soon from Paradip to Barbil in Odisha passing through Chandikhol, Duburi of Jajpur district and Keonjhar, Rimli and Bhadarsahi of Keonjhar district. The state will majorly develop under this Draft.
As per the CMO release, the step towards the eight-laning will be proceeded after the completion Four-lane work of 43Km Remuli- Koida and 104Km Singara- Binjabahal NHs by June 2021. Apart from this four-lane 166Km of Panikoili-Remuli section of NH-20 is almost completed.
The Eight lane road project was discussed in a meeting held between Naveen Patnaik, Chief Minister of Odisha and Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for road transport and highways. Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, V K Singh and Pratap Sarangi were present along with many others in the meeting.
“The state is willing to be a partner and extend all support to this economic corridor”, Said Odisha CM.
Under this project many areas nearby area of Chandikhol, Steal complex at Kalinganagar, Jajpur, mining zones around Duburi, indstrial hub at Keonjhar along with mining areas of Barbil and Juda will be facilitated by the multi-modal logistic hub.
