Bhubaneswar, Jan 8: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday batted for a strong relationship between Odisha and Bangladesh.
During his meeting with Bangladesh High Commissioner to India Syed Muazzem Ali at the State secretariat here today, the Chief Minister said Bangladesh is the leading nation in textile sector. “There is immense opportunity for investing in Odisha in this sector”, Patnaik said.
During the meeting, both discussed ways to increase cooperation in other fields such as alumina, sponge iron export, energy, food processing and tourism industries.Ali recalled the contribution of Patnaik’s father and former Chief Minister Late Biju Patnaik. He conveyed the regards of Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and invited Patnaik to visit the country.
