Bhubaneswar: the Odisha government has announced an early start to the admission process for higher education courses for the academic year 2025–26.
The decision covers postgraduate, two-year B. Ed, M. Ed, B. Hd, and undergraduate programmes.
According to an official release by the Higher Education Department, the Common Application Form (CAF) for these programmes will be available for submission starting April 16, 2025. This early initiation is part of the state’s broader vision to ensure the timely commencement of courses, examinations, and declaration of results, thereby enhancing the overall academic experience.
The undergraduate admission process will align with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, providing students with the flexibility to choose from innovative course structures such as Single Major with Two Minors, Double Majors, and Three Minors. Admissions will be processed through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) portal.
