Bhubaneswar, Dec 13; The State government under several housing schemes has constructed a record-breaking seven lakh Pucca houses in the state in a time span of 5 months.
As per sources, Panchayati Raj Minister Arun Sahoo in the Dec 2015 assembly said about 3-lakh houses have been completed under various housing schemes in the state.
In May, 16’ CM Naveen Patnaik dedicated 10 lakh pucca houses to the poor people in the rural sector. So going by numbers the govt has managed to finish 7 lakh houses in a span of 5 months. But when asked for a written statement by BJP’s Dillip Ray, Sahoo said the info is being gathered to confirm the exact number of completed pucca houses.
The opposition Congress and BJP on this allegedly blamed the Ruling that it is practically not possible to built 7 lakh houses in 5 months and the ruling is misleading the facts for political gain.
